Full Stack Developer
About the Role
As a Full Stack Developer in our IT Tax Team, you'll collaborate closely with our Technical Lead to maintain business-critical applications while designing and developing new components. You'll play an instrumental role in our quarterly closing process, combining architectural design, business software development, and third-level operational support to ensure our tax reporting systems operate flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain code in our Group Tax environment

Actively contribute to project delivery activities, focusing on engineering excellence to meet project timelines and objectives

Provide essential technical support during financial closing activities, ensuring all technical requirements are met efficiently

Conduct comprehensive code reviews to uphold code quality, consistency with coding standards, and maintainability across the project

Utilize your extensive experience and technical expertise to identify and resolve critical issues promptly, preventing recurrence and ensuring system stability

Continuously identify and implement process improvements in engineering support to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
About the Team
You'll be joining our international Digital and Technology team, Tax Solutions that partners closely with our Group Tax colleagues based in various countries globally. Our team plays a crucial role in supporting tax professionals by developing and maintaining the solutions they need to fulfil their obligations with regard to Group IFRS reporting, Local Statutory reporting and many other indirect tax reporting requirements. We bridge the gap between complex tax requirements and efficient technical implementations, while supporting strategic projects and crucially, ensuring stability during our critical financial closing activities.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

Proven expertise in software development, with a strong foundation in Java and Spring Boot, proficiency in NodeJS

Proven expertise in UI frameworks like Angular

Skilled in database management systems (DBMS) such as PostgreSQL, with experience deploying applications on cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure

Proficient in relational database management, including data manipulation language (DML), data definition language (DDL), database modelling, and performance tuning

Skilled in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with a focus on best practices and industry standards

Proficient in utilizing Azure DevOps for project management, code versioning, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices

Experienced in modern software architecture principles, leveraging both synchronous and asynchronous integration technologies to build scalable and efficient systems
These are additional nice to haves:

Strong analytical skills, address problems in a structured way, joining your own creative ideas and those of others

Extensive professional experience in developing and supporting Java applications, gained within large-scale corporate environments and through collaboration with globally distributed teams
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 2,800 and EUR 4,600 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
