About the Role


Are you familiar with terms as "processes, risks and controls"? Did you perform an oversight function in an asset management related team? If you say "Yes", we have a great way to progress with your career in Swiss Re Asset Management (AM).
In the role as AM Governance Specialist, you will gain hands-on experience and develop an excellent understanding of all governance-related topics for asset management as well as cover the oversight function for various AM governance related functions. You will be part of the 1st Line of Defence, ensuring aligned and efficient implementation of applicable frameworks issued by the 2nd Line of Defence in AM. You will work in a cross-functional and multi-cultural environment and will have the opportunity to enhance your analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

 

•    Execute and steer end-to-end governance operations, focusing on constant improvement and efficiency of processes and the risk and control environment
•    Drive, coordinate, and manage various governance related control activities and reviews, e.g. review of processes, risks, controls, business unit plans, end user applications
•    Implement applicable frameworks as per requirements from the 2nd Line of Defence
•    Provide governance oversight over activities owned by AM Governance as required
•    Cross-functional collaboration with other governance teams and assurance function (Operational Risk Management, Compliance etc) in Swiss Re


About the Team

 

The AM Governance team is based in Slovakia and Zurich. We are a small team of professionals responsible for framework maintenance and reporting in collaboration with internal and external partners. Through the day we experience an interesting mix of ad hoc issue resolution, compelling investigations, and ambitious initiatives. Systematic improvements are an important part of our business.

 

About You

 

You are a professional with investments or banking background with 2-5 years of experience. In addition to that, you have:

 

•    Understanding and interest in investments and financial products
•    Ability to look at things from risk, compliance, and governance angle 
•    Skills to prioritize tasks, manage numerous initiatives at a time and meet deadlines while delivering high quality results important
•    Proficiency in English
•    Excellent communication skills
•    Ability to navigate ambiguity and quickly react to new situations
•    Advanced with MS Office applications

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 1800 EUR and 3000 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

In the situation where you significantly exceed the requirements, the offered salary may be above the advertised range.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
