About the Role


The Analyst role reports directly to the Group Security Manager EMEA.


Main work activities cover general support on execution, maintenance and testing of Swiss Re’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) and Safety & Security (S&S) programme.

Role & responsibilities:

  • You will support Incident Management response to serious incidents, business disruptions and travel security incidents

  • Assess details of reported incidents and manage related reporting activities

  • Interact with BC and S&S representatives to identify, discuss and resolve issues

  • Provides support to the Group Security Manager APAC in coordinating BCM and S&S initiatives

  • Become proficient with the Group Security tools and platforms (e.g. BC planning tool, emergency mass notification tool, travel security tool, SharePoint site etc) and maintain user training and general support

  • Take ownership of the global emergency notification tool, including interaction with the service provider and manage future enhancements of the tool

  • Assist with development of awareness material, handbooks and online trainings Provide travel security monitoring support

  • Carry out a detailed annual review of Business Continuity Plans, ensuring their compliance with our BCM Policy

  • Support delivery of new initiatives designed to strengthen our Operating Model covering BCM, Safety & Security and Incident Management.

  • Re-enforce and promote adherence to relevant policies and standards (e.g. S&S, BCM, event and travel security)

  • Follow up on open issues, test results and lessons learned and manage related reporting activities

  • Conduct risk based on-site reviews of Swiss Re locations if needed


About the Team


You will join an experienced global team of security and resiliency professionals.

  • Team responsible for safety and security, business continuity, and incident management group-wide, i.e. more than 80 locations in 30+ countries who have extensive knowhow in the field

  • Diverse and multicultural, with team members in the USA, Singapore, UK and Switzerland

You have


  • Previous experience in business continuity management, crisis management and/or risk management

  • Strong English skills, both verbal and written;

  • A certification by a professional organization in business continuity and/or incident management is an advantage;

  • Understanding of digital technologies, e.g. mobile apps, mass notification and training tools is beneficial

  • Experience in incident management (exercises and real incidents), including use of respective tools

  • A good ability to visualise and explain issues to wider audiences, at all levels

  • High competence working with the MS Office Suite, including SharePoint

  • Planning and project management experience is an advantage

  • Able to travel if needed

Minimum base salary for this job from 1500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. We are required by law to disclose basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised positions.
