We are looking for an HR Advisor who will deliver high-quality, customer-focused HR services to a designated client group. This role is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career who wants to deepen their knowledge of employee relations, business partnering and HR processes in an international environment.

 

What You’ll Do

 

Build Relationships

Support positive and productive relationships with managers and employees and help ensure HR services align with business needs.

 

Provide Day‑to‑Day HR Support

Assist with employee relations matters such as performance conversations and disciplinaries. More complex cases will be handled together with senior HR colleagues and Legal Counsel where needed.

 

Advise Managers

Offer guidance on all people-relevant topics, including talent management, succession planning, performance management, and compensation, in close collaboration with our Global HR Partners.

 

Coordinate HR Processes and Projects

Help coordinate annual HR cycles, engagement activities, and local HR initiatives. Contribute to HR projects as a project coordinator or subject matter support.

 

Promote Diversity

Support activities and communications that help strengthen our culture and employee wellbeing.

 

Assist with Change Management

Support and drive any change management required to successfully execute the agreed-upon HR strategic plan.

 

Enhance Employee Experience

Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

 

About the Team

 

You will join the Slovak HR team and report to the Head of HR for Swiss Re Slovakia. You will also collaborate with HR colleagues worldwide as part of our international HR community. We value teamwork, openness, and a client‑focused mindset. We support each other, share knowledge, and work together to deliver excellent HR service for our employees and business.

 

About You

 

  • Education: University degree or relevant HR‑related background.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience in HR (generalist/advisor role), including experience in Slovakia Employee Relations and knowledge of local employment law, applying this practically and pragmatically within a commercial framework.
  • Approach: Curious, proactive, and eager to learn. Comfortable taking initiative and asking questions.
  • Communication: Able to work with colleagues at different levels with professionalism and empathy.
  • Team Player: You build trust through collaboration, reliability, and integrity.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a dynamic environment and navigating change with support from the team.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1800 and EUR 3000 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

 

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​

  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

 

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​
