Imagine being able to make the world more resilient to climate change, wars, disease or even natural catastrophes like earthquakes and floods? At Swiss Re, this is exactly our bold mission, and you can help make the difference as the Head of Software Engineering in Slovakia for our Property & Casualty (P&C) systems in the Reinsurance domain.

  • Application Operations: Ensure seamless operations of your application portfolio by following established DevSecOps principles and by fostering a strong discipline in security, stability and reliability engineering; own operational problems, ensure thorough root cause analyses and coordinate continuous improvement activities with our central architecture team

  • Change Management: Contribute to the establishment of our internal engineering culture by in-sourcing the critical engineering capabilities, by maintaining the trust and buy-in from our external development partners, and by establishing an inspiring culture of engineering excellence in your area of responsibility

What we need from you:

  • Practical experience in leading, coaching & empowering software engineering teams with a high level of motivation, modesty and dedication, ideally in a corporate environment

  • Overview of contemporary technologies and solutions, including public cloud environments (ideally Microsoft Azure)
