IT Application Owner

About the role
As an IT Application Owner, you'll be at the forefront of managing crucial applications that power Swiss Re's Asset Management operations. You'll collaborate with domain architects and operations specialists to ensure our solutions perfectly align with business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage predominantly SaaS applications throughout their lifecycle, including understanding their purpose, IT setup, infrastructure, and access roles
- Lead vendor communications, collect SOC2 reports and service level evidence to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with IT security teams to fulfill all security requirements including disaster recovery, MFA/SSO, IAM, and re-certification
- Guide new applications through the onboarding process using the Digital Governance Framework
- Execute IT security initiatives including configuration reviews, coordinating penetration tests, and IT audits
- Monitor KPIs and service level agreements to maintain desired performance thresholds
- Partner with audit teams for applications within your scope
- Lead regular meetings and drive your initiatives and tasks effectively
About the team
We are a small, focused technology team, part of Group Digital & Technology (GDTO) serving the Asset Management domain within Swiss Re. The team is located in Bratislava, collaborating with business and IT teams in numerous locations worldwide including New York, London and Zurich.
About you
You're passionate about IT and business analysis, with an interest in financial products. Your strong interpersonal and technical skills make you an effective communicator and problem-solver. As an energetic and diligent professional, you're eager to understand how technology operates within the asset management business and are ready to expand your knowledge and expertise.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, business informatics, informatics, or economics
- Minimum 2 years of working experience with proven business/IT analysis background
- Experience with IT governance, cyber security, and basic understanding of Disaster Recovery procedures and penetration testing
- High levels of independence and initiative showcasing ownership and commitment
- Vendor management experience
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
These are additional nice to haves:
- Previous experience with IT application ownership
- DevSecOps practices knowledge, change management and release management
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS
- Eagerness to try new technologies (e.g. Palantir Foundry)
- Comfort working in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments
- Willingness to challenge processes and suggest improvements
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,200 and EUR 3,700 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.
