IT Business Analyst - General Ledger Sub-ledger integration

About the team

 

Global team (based out of US, IN, SVK, CH, GR) includes IT BAs, ABAP and HANA developers supporting interfaces from subledgers (LFD, AAH, FAH, RCP, FPSL) to the SAP General Ledger.  Our customers are internal globally based with significant user base in SVK, IN, CH. We also support the roll-in of new companies onto our platform. 

 

About the role

 

  • Amazing opportunity to work with the latest technology (SAP S/4 HANA, SAP FI/CO)  

  • Participate in agile ceremonies with our development partners 

  • Business operations support for quarterly financial closing 

  • Analysis of reconciliation exceptions, document for stakeholders 

  • Preparation for quarter close, ensure that all mapping updates are complete prior to close 

  • Coordination and communication of issues and issue resolution with clients, both Finance and Info Tech 

  • Continuous improvement, review processes and initiate improvements 

  • Business operations support for incoming and outgoing technical payments 

  • Business operations support for investment data interface 

  • Analysis of production incidents and provide problem resolution, communication with Finance or IT Clients 

  • Shift left: IT Business Analysis support concerning regression testing automation and handover to L2 support 

 

About you

 

  • Bachelor or master's degree in IT, Financial or Business field  

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the role of IT Business Analyst or IT Specialist  

  • Interested and willing to learn SAP technologies (experience with SAP / S4 HANA would be an advantage) 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Proven IT business analysis skills 

  • Basic SQL knowledge  

  • Commitment to data quality, attention to detail and solution oriented 

  • Experience in at least one of the Agile frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban etc. and knowledge of Agile Project Management tools such as JIRA and Confluence. 

  • Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft tools, such as Powerpoint, Excel 

  • Background in Finance or Reinsurance / Insurance domain would be an advantage

  • Ability to work independently and willingness to learn new technologies 

  • Excellent communication skills, ability to speak & understand both Business & IT languages  

  • Team player able to deliver high performance when working in a team and/or when working independently

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 2 600 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
