IT Business Analyst
About the role
As an IT Business Analyst supporting the Alternative Capital Partners Group, you will work closely with software engineers to build and enhance IT solutions by transitioning functionalities to a new technical framework based on Palantir Foundry. Your responsibilities will include gathering requirements, designing user interfaces, participating in architectural decisions, and supporting testing efforts.
This role requires strong communication skills and collaboration with an international user community, as well as with a diverse range of IT peers across the globe.
About the team
We are a small, dynamic, and international team of experienced specialists that design, build, and operate the ACP IT landscape in collaboration with our business partners. We follow agile methodologies (daily stand-up, bi-weekly sprints, product increments) and utilize DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the development of new business application functionalities
- Analyze business processes and gather requirements using various techniques
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional specifications
- Validate solution designs against requirements using appropriate testing methodologies
- Produce and maintain user-facing business documentation
- Collaborate with data engineers to support solution development and delivery
- Contribute to stable IT operations by designing data quality checks and system health checks
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team
About you
You are a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a passion for connecting business needs with technical solutions. You thrive in a collaborative, agile environment and are comfortable working across global teams. Your ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable deliverables makes you a key partner for both IT and business stakeholders.
Professional Background and Key Skills
- Over three years of experience as an IT Business Analyst in a software development and delivery environment
- Strong skills in abstraction, conceptual thinking, and problem-solving with a keen eye for identifying dependencies, risks, and impacts across systems
- Hands-on experience in data modelling, including logical and physical data structures, relational database concepts, and collaboration with data engineering teams to define requirements
- Good working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, and prototyping
- Experienced in documenting business processes, data flows, and technical specifications clearly for both business and IT audiences
- Proficient in defining and executing functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing; skilled in designing test scenarios and supporting automated test processes where applicable
- Ability to prioritize tasks, drive initiatives to completion, and work both independently and collaboratively in a global team
- Exposure to Palantir Foundry, Python, or PySpark is an advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge Finance and IT stakeholders
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,700] and [EUR 4,500] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
