IT Business Analyst

We're seeking a talented IT Business Analyst to join our Finance Data CoE in Bratislava, where you'll play a crucial role in shaping our financial data landscape. About the Role

In this position, you'll be instrumental in implementing our Finance Target Architecture using Azure Databricks while ensuring seamless data flows across our financial systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality implementations that meet evolving business needs. This role requires someone who can navigate complex data models, communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, and maintain a relentless focus on quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure the quarterly submission out of the Enhanced Finance Repository
  • Drive Finance IT business analysis towards the implementation of our Finance Target Architecture (Azure Databricks), enabling end-to-end Finance data flows
  • Work closely with business counterparts to capture accurate business needs and translate them into implementable work items in Azure DevOps
  • Team up with software development teams within the Data & Analytics Product Area and collaborate with other Finance IT teams
  • Analyze, manage, and document the as-is status of business/finance data and provide gap analysis
  • Specify source system data derivation rules with high quality, including proposing feasible solutions
  • Model data and integrate with the existing data landscape
  • Provide test data and execute the testing process in collaboration with implementation developers
  • Coordinate and support UATs, including creation/enhancement of training documentation
  • Monitor and update proposed solutions under changing assumptions
  • Support Go live and the establishment of the BAU process
  • Provide on-call support during quarterly financial close periods to ensure smooth data processing and reporting

 

About the Team

The Finance Data Center of Excellence (CoE) team is a vital part of the Finance Data Foundation Product Area. We optimize data strategy and technical architecture while minimizing waste through automation and building customer trust. Our team ensures end-to-end product vision coherence, shapes solutions for onboarding applications into the Finance Data Foundation landscape, and enables accurate reporting through reusable data assets. We provide subject matter expertise in Finance Data, manage Finance Data Models, and consult on implementing new data analytics capabilities.

About You

You're a detail-oriented problem solver with excellent analytical skills and a passion for turning data into insights. You thrive in collaborative environments and can effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Your ability to understand both business processes and technical solutions makes you an effective bridge between stakeholders across the organization.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

  • At least 5 years of business analysis experience working on complex projects
  • High proficiency in English
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • Experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and management using industry[1]standard methodologies

 

These are additional nice to haves:

  • Knowledge of financial processes and reporting requirements
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools
  • Experience with Azure Databricks or similar data processing platforms
  • Experience with process mapping and business process improvement
  • Certification in business analysis (CBAP, PMI-PBA) or related fields

 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,200 and EUR 3,700 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​
