IT Resilience Coordinator

About the Role

 

In this role you would be instrumental in ensuring the functionality, resilience, and security of IT applications by implementing meticulous testing practices and optimizing processes. Your excellent communication and analytical skills, and collaborative spirit will contribute to the refinement of IT disaster recovery plans and the establishment of efficient testing methodologies. We invite you to play a key role in securing the IT Resilience.

You will work with a diverse team of talented professionals supporting with managing IT Resilience effectively.

 

In your role, you:

  • Leverage analytics derived from operations, such as DORA (DevOps Research and Assessment), to identify potential continuous testing needs and opportunities.

  • Promote a shift from annual testing to continuous testing to adapt to changing development, deployment, and operating models.

  • Collaborate with teams to establish and optimize the first coverage for emerging risks, especially in the context of cyber threats. Place a stronger focus on data backup testing, particularly in the face of ransomware threats.

  • Continuously refine and optimize testing processes and industry standards to ensure the effectiveness of IT Resilience.

  • Work closely with multi-functional teams to define testing criteria, ensuring comprehensive coverage of critical IT services.

  • Use and analyze test data effectively in support of the testing process.

 

Your qualifications

Must Have

  • Strong analytical abilities to optimize processes and workflows.

  • Experience in process mapping and proficiency with business analysis tools like Visio or Lucid-chart.

  • Collaborative approach to work with multi-functional teams to define comprehensive testing criteria.

  • Excellent communication skills to thoroughly drive awareness of test procedures and effectively convey results, maintaining clear and organized records of testing activities.

  • Demonstrated experience with IT or Operational Resilience

 

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and disaster recovery concepts.

  • Risk management background with demonstrated history of working with risk assessments.

  • Problem-solving skills to identify bottlenecks and process inefficiencies, implementing corrective actions as vital.

  • Experience with new tool deployments and project management.

  • Competence in querying databases using SQL for effective test data management.

 

About the Team

We develop and maintain IT Continuity-, Resilience- and DR- capabilities to mitigate the risk of unavailability and enable prioritized recovery of IT Services in the event of a major disruption with minimal impact to critical business processes.

Our team ensures that measures are effectively embedded within the organization and considers modern and best-in-class operating models and tech environments (Cloud, SaaS, Dev(Sec)Ops, IaC).

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 3300 EUR full time. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
