About the Role

 

As a student in our IA department, you will focus on Swiss Re legal entities and contribute to activities such as reconciliation, accounting, analysis, and the appropriate classification of investments in line with accounting standards.

We are a multi-valuation department. What’s in it for you? You’ll gain valuable knowledge of Group and Local IFRS, various statutory reporting standards, and the characteristics of different investment instruments. You’ll also have the chance to collaborate closely with other internal departments while continuously developing both your technical expertise and soft skills.

 

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Perform reconciliation, analysis, and accounting tasks
  • Communicate with other departments to clarify investment instrument characteristics
  • Prepare supporting documentation for regular controls
  • Complete ad hoc tasks assigned by the team
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives
  • Work with investment systems and various software applications
  • Share knowledge across teams and support special projects related to investment reporting

 

 

About the Team

 

Investment Accounting (IA) is part of Group Finance and is responsible for sub-ledger accounting and reporting of investments under both Group IFRS and Local Statutory valuations.

 

About You

 

  • University student, preferably studying Accounting, Finance, or Banking
  • Previous experience in Finance or Accounting is an advantage
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken)
  • Strong MS Excel skills
  • Analytical and conceptual thinker
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Flexible, eager to learn, and open to new challenges

 

 

For Slovakia the base salary for this position is 7 EUR / gross / hour.
