Junior Account Analyst
The role covers the technical accounting tasks related to reinsurance transactions, the reconciliation of premiums and in addition responsibility for a timely and accurate financial management with our partners. Additionally, ability to implement a disciplined monthly monitoring routing is essential in addition to provide clear performance result for the International Programs.
Ideally the candidate will have a good understanding of insurance technical accounting principles as well as basic understanding of International insurance programmes. The role will liaise with the Primary Lead team, Corporate Solutions Finance, and other functional areas as needed.
About the Role
Main responsibilities:
- Book, monthly reconcile and settle technical accounts in high data quality.
- Produce monthly statements to our partners.
- Process outgoing payment and Statements related to assigned International Programs.
- Resolve reconciliation findings with the respective functions – internal/external.
- Monitor, revise and keep the portfolio up to date and deliver results in monthly basis.
- Liaise with other functions to ensure service standards are met
- Timely respond to inquiries from partners.
- Ensure reconciliation of International Programs technical accounts in administration system and support Finance on reconciliations in financial ledgers as required.
- Compare and contrast incoming co-reinsurance data in the system against real contract and authorize.
- Ad-hoc tasks such as project work, system enhancement, reports, and analyses.
Other
- Assist in announced internal/external audit.
- Participate in meetings and trainings for the purpose of conveying information required to perform job functions.
- Contribute to team effort by assisting team member when necessary.
- Participate on ongoing projects to strengthen the team core processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About Team
International Financial Management team´s mandate is to technically account for transactions of policies included in International Program and thereby to ensure compliant and efficient risk transfers and cash flows between local offices and Reinsurance partners.
The Team is also responsible for reporting, analytics, and commentaries regarding International Programs, including monthly aged debt reports, monthly premium flows, and consolidation of accounts by client programme.
Due to the global growth of International Programs, we are looking for new colleagues to join our team.
While this role is primarily focus on accounting and cash flow, you will get wider exposure to International Business and understanding end-to-end process of these programs.
About You
- University graduate with primary or higher degree (or equivalent), preferable in finance/accounting/economics and with at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience in insurance/reinsurance.
- Previous Insurance Technical Accounting experience desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to deliver quality output to short deadlines and manage details without losing sight of the "big picture".
- Strong communication skills, in particular ability to summarize complex technical issues to a non-expert audience, both written and verbal.
- Ability to translate business initiatives into clear, actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
- Excellent interpersonal with demonstrated ability to work well and build trust with others.
- Experience in insurance and on personal accountability for areas of responsibility.
- Stress resilient, with the ability to work independent.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1300 and EUR 2200 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
