Junior Finance Specialist (Hybrid)

Envision working in an unusual accounting role where you can be in the front seat and see how our business is handled. You will be responsible for the End-to-end process for tailor made reinsurance solutions, specifically for recording the treaty details, calculating cash flows, accounting client statements including invoicing and others. Your reinsurance knowledge will grow over time, what we need is your curiosity and open mind!

About the Role 

Primarily you will be supporting the Non-Traditional business activities, however you will get wide exposure to our business supporting colleagues with other tasks related to accounting and reporting. 

Key responsibilities:

•     Gain understanding of all transactions by reviewing the contract, discussing with Pricing, Portfolio management group, Actuary and Group Accounting
•    Ensure transactions are entered in the financial ledger in accordance with the deal structure & IFRS17 and Statutory accounting sign-off (quarterly closing activities)
•    Process outgoing payment and receipts related to assigned deals including payment instructions, booking, follow up on overdue items
•    Provide information on transactions to different parties (claims, actuaries, IFRS17, Statutory accounting, etc)

About You 

You are detail oriented, and you adapt fast to complex systems, with the ability to set priorities and keep set deadlines, while always willing to learn. In addition, you confidently communicate in person, in writing with other colleagues. 

Essentials:
•    Master's degree in Finance and Accounting
•    Or some experience in a role relevant to Accounting or Financial Reporting, with good understanding of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
•    Understanding of IFRS17, US-GAAP

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1300 and EUR 2100 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
