Procurement Specialist IT
About the Role
We are looking for Procurement Specialist to join our team and help manage our organization’s procurement needs in area of Information Technology (IT).
Responsibilities of Procurement Specialist IT include:
- Support a variety of initiatives to reduce costs and improve quality of goods and services provided by third parties for category areas such as Hardware, Software, Licenses, Cloud & Connectivity, IT Outsourcing
- Lead commercial negotiations for assigned business cases
- Prepare, review and negotiate contracts, initiate legal reviews and vendor due diligence process where needed
- Execute comprehensive RFx process followed by full contract life cycle management
- Review and approve purchase orders to ensure compliance with internal standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with Category Managers in developing and implementing procurement strategies across the organization
- Communicate with internal partners to ensure that purchased products and services meet the business needs and support strategic goals
- Cooperate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with digital governance
About the Team
You will be part of IT & Data Procurement, a unit within Group Procurement Team of Swiss Re. As a member of this unit you will work closely with Procurement Specialists and Category Managers based primarily in Bratislava, Zurich and London.
About You
- You have a bachelor’s or master´s degree preferably in Economics / Business Administration or a Procurement, Supply chain degree.
- You have around 3-4 years of experience in purchasing of IT categories or similar in a global organization with multi-million spend.
- You have strong negotiations skills and can demonstrate focused delivery of significant cost savings/service improvements
- You are detailed and process oriented person.
- You have sophisticated verbal and written command of English (other language is desirable, German would be a plus).
- You are naturally proactive, a problem solver, able to navigate ambiguity and passionate about customer outcomes.
Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,900 and EUR 3,200 per month (for a full-time role).

• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
