Product Development Specialist

We're looking for a Product Development Specialist (also known as Forward Deployed Engineer) to join our team and help us to build the bridge between business and engineering. If you enjoy a combination of business interaction, hands-on technical work, and product management in a global environment, this might be the perfect role for you! You'll get to participate in a variety of interesting initiatives. For example, you will:

 

Key responsibilities

  • Build robust applications with a focus on data storytelling and scalability.
  • Focus on an approach that integrates business requirements and technological possibilities, while focusing on user experience.
  • Serve as a point of contact for business experts, understanding their needs and advising on how to leverage data and analytics to achieve better outcomes.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data products, from conception to deployment to operation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate on design and build of user-centric data assets that align with business & application needs, ensuring that data is efficiently structured
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain AI models

About you

 

To be successful in the role, you have:

  • University degree in computer science, Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative field
  • 3+ years of data-related work experience in the industry, consulting, or tech
  • Experience in building data-driven applications and storytelling with data
  • Experience in information modeling and building data pipelines
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data within a business context
  • Strong project management abilities and a track record of delivering on time and within scope
  • Proficiency in modern coding languages, such as Python or TypeScript
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent English, spoken and written

If you also have the following experience and interests, it is a huge plus: 

  • Knowledge of Palantir Foundry or Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with Machine Learning or Generative AI
  • Agile certification or experience with scaled agile frameworks
  • Experience in the (Re-)Insurance industry

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2 100 and EUR 3 400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
