Frontend Test Automation Developer

About the Team 

Our team is at the forefront of analytics for Reinsurance. We build analytical products that focus a wide range of topics from Contract Wording to Natural Catastrophes, enabling the company to accurately manage our risks.  

Joining us, you will learn the technologies that are used in modern data solutions with a focus on cloud technologies and distributed systems, in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re's international offices. 

 

In your role, you will…   

  • Be someone who believes in continuous innovation, is curious and relentless in finding a better way every day.  

  • Ensure quality of solutions meet expectations for reliability and availability.  

  • Ensure technical design is in line with architecture and meets security and quality requirements.  

  • Contribute to business and technical documentation and operations of the solutions.  

 

What we need from you  

  • 5+ years of experience with automated web-app frontend testing frameworks in large organizations 

  • Experience with frontend testing frameworks Cypress and Playwright 

  • Experience with REST based component communication and associated best practices 

  • Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of developing high-quality, by-design applications 

  • Experience in meeting non-functional requirements such as reliability, availability, performance 

  • Good communication skills in spoken and written English. 

  • Knowledge about test methodologies and test artifacts (test plan, test strategy, test terminology...) 

  • Collaborative and team oriented 

 

Nice-to-have  

  • Experience with complex front-end development using JavaScript, CSS and HTML, specifically Angular 

  • Knowledge about authentication and authorization mechanisms 

  • Exposure to multi-tier and microservice based architectures 

  • Knowledge on containerization, cloud platforms like Azure and associated technologies/capabilities 

  • Experience with agile development practices and DevOps, including Infrastructure-as-Code 

  • Experience with API testing frameworks and databases 

  • Certified tester in well-known institution

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2 100 and EUR 3 400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
