Reporting & Monitoring Expert (hybrid)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Do you enjoy analysing and interpreting data? Can you generate new ideas and approaches that leverage data to drive quality and performance in Operations? Can you work objectively and find solutions to problems? We are offering an exciting opportunity to help us continuously improve and assure our data quality in L&H Operations and ensure controls and frameworks are properly executed, to protect us from financial volatility and operational risk at every stage of the Operations value chain – from treaty onboarding to claims payments.
Major responsibilities:
- Define the data quality assurance framework in Operations
- Work with the team to implement centralized execution of key global quality assurance activities
- Prepare systems to enable regular reporting of findings and action setting for quality improvements
- Evolve operations KPI reporting frameworks to ensure effective performance steering metrics and insights are available
- Work with business networks to understand wider data quality needs and levers, and assess the relevance to Operations reporting and quality controlling activities
- Maintain a good insight to day-to-day Operations and ensure the dots are connected between BAU process, quality checking and formal controls, considering also the role of Insights teams
- Set up operational risk monitoring frameworks leveraging both the reporting and quality insights
- Work with colleagues across Business Architecture to join up quality and reporting with process and tech developments and knowledge and skills initiatives
- Perform analysis and make interpretations which guide assessment of warning signs in the context of Operational weaknesses
- Represent Operations in various forums and organisation wide activities as needed.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The team consists of 8+ members currently located in different offices across key Swiss Re offices globally, working closely with the Market Units, COO teams, Risk management and IT partners.
You would be working as part of a wider CoE team, which also covers process, data and tech and skills and capabilities pillars.
ABOUT YOU
- You have proven track record in delivery and execution.
- You enjoy solving problems and analysing information
- You can work with data at an intermediate or advanced level in different forms and on different platforms
- You have deep knowledge of L&H Operations processes and bring an e2e mindset
- You understand the Operations reporting and KPI landscape
- You have experience in metric design
- You work effectively with various stakeholders across the value chain and can easily move between operational, technical and technology topics.
- You adopt a partnership mindset.
- You have an eye for detail and a preference to work diligently but with simple and pragmatic approaches
- You are a strong communicator and can effectively and objectively convey problems and suggest solutions
- You have excellent organisational skills
- You have the ability and willingness to challenge the status quo
- You have excellent command of spoken and written English
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 3 000 EUR and 5 000 EUR per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
