About the Team 

 
General Ledger Accounting Services team is responsible for supporting European, Asian, and American entities of Swiss Re Group according to internal guidelines, IFRS and local accounting policies and tax requirements. As a member of the team, you support legal entity with operational and closing activities. You seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's delivery processes and collaboration with our partners. 
 
Main customers: Group & Local Finance, Tax teams, Internal & External Audit, HR 

 
About the role 
 
You will provide timely and accurate non-technical accounting services according to internal guidelines, regulatory and Group requirements. You perform quarterly closing activities of defined entities and support financial controlling of selected entities with focus on group requirements. 
Your tasks: 

  
•    Ensure daily accounting treatment for Payrolls, Fixed assets & Intangibles and Leasings 

•    Support audit activities and prepare requested information 
•    Perform account reconciliations 
•    Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities 
•    Participate and support Finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks as required  
•    Any other ad hoc tasks as required 

 

About You 

 
We are looking for an engaged and motivated teammate with good communication skills.  
  Essentials 
•    You have three to five years of work experience in accounting/financial reporting 
•    You are qualified in Accounting, Audit, Finance and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration  
•    Knowledge of accounting and regulatory frameworks 
•    Understanding of financial risk and control processes 
•    Experience in the use of standard bookkeeping software for financial accounting 
•    Proven PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
•    Fluent written and spoken English 
 
Nice to haves 
•    SAP experience is an advantage 
•    FIA/ACCA/DipIFR student or finished certification 
 
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,800 and EUR 3,000 per month (for a full-time role). 
The specific salary offered considers: 
•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 
•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience. 
 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
