About the role
As the Senior Accountant iptiQ EMEA P&C in Bratislava, you will have a unique and exciting opportunity to join us. We are diverse and motivated team, committed to delivering value and innovative services together with our clients and partners in the primary insurance space!
As member of the team you contribute to process improvement and new process design after SAP (GL) implementation. You will play a leading role in the team for complex insurance accounting and reporting activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support the post build-up phase of the Finance systems and processes
- Provide timely and accurate financial accounting, controlling and reporting tasks according to internal guidelines, regulatory and Group requirements, including closing and reporting
- Ensure accurate insurance (technical) accounting bookings
- Ensure timely booking of accruals, payroll, fixed assets, tax bookings, intercompany recharges, and other non-technical accounting activities
- Support financial controlling with focus on group requirements (payable/receivable signoff, reconciliations for the accounts under the ownership, and related tasks)
- Provide accurate financial information to the management to enable timely and current decisions to be made
- Financial reporting to local tax teams
- Ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and support audit activities
- Participate and support Finance related projects and perform ad hoc tasks as required
- Identify and evaluate process improvement possibilities

About you
- Minimum five years of work experience in accounting (insurance industry is favorable)
- Qualification in Accounting, Audit, Finance and/or university degree in Economics, Science or Business Administration
- CPA/ACCA certification or equivalent is advantage
- Profound knowledge regarding accounting policies (US GAAP)
- Understanding of financial reporting processes, risk and controls
- Experience in the use of standard accounting software
- Shown PC skills, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Engaged and motivated teammate with good interpersonal skills
- Fluent English written and spoken (B2)
About the team
The iptiQ EMEA P&C Carrier Financial Operations team, we are responsible for supporting the Luxembourg insurance company and the European branches with accounting, controlling, financial analysis and reporting according to internal guidelines, Luxembourg and US GAAP accounting policies as well as local tax requirements.
Minimum base salary for this job from 1900EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
