About the Team
The Global Investment Reporting (GIR) team has the ownership of the Investments Financial Accounting sub-ledger and reporting requirements for all valuations across Swiss Re locations, including local statutory and regulatory valuations, Swiss Solvency test valuation, and Group IFRS valuation.
About the role
We are offering maternity cover contract within GIR Group IFRS Reporting team. GIR Group IFRS Reporting team contributes to the preparation of investments related parts in Group Consolidated Financial Statements and Notes, as well as to Investor report, and many other reports provided to other teams within Swiss Re. The team is responsible for accounting accuracy of Investments data following IFRS, mainly accounting treatment, classification, and measurement for broad range of financial products such as bonds, loans, equities, derivatives, alternative investments, and others. In this role you will be responsible for the topic of derivatives, hedging and financial liabilities. Among your tasks will be:
• perform quarterly/monthly financial period closing,
• ensure the accounting treatment and measurement for Derivatives, hedging & financial liabilities follow IFRS requirements,
• ensure the accuracy of additional information used in Notes to Financial Statements and Asset management reporting,
• assess, analyse and correct accounting irregularities,
• propose areas for improvement and optimization of the system and processes,
• cooperate with the Business analysts and Asset Management to ensure that new/changing reporting requirements mainly related to new hedging programs are translated into delivered data and configuration.
About You
• University degree in Accounting / Finance / Banking
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in accounting / reporting, preferably in the area or banking/insurance/asset management industry or other financial institution
• Profound understanding of Financial Statements and Notes to Financial statements
• Preferably familiar with accounting of financial instruments
• Preferably familiar with IFRS, mainly IFRS related to financial instruments
• Can do approach, curious mind keen to learn new technologies
• Responsible with high degree of personal accountability
• High-quality and timely delivery focus
• Working independently as well as part of a team and effectively manage priorities
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and influence positive outcomes
• Communicative with ability to interact with all levels within organization

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1900 and EUR 3300 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
