Senior Business Analyst

About the role

Join our dynamic global team, a competent data & technology partner responsible for designing and implementing innovative user journeys, data, and software products with a modern user experience for Swiss Re's underwriting and operations communities. Work alongside product owners, UX designers, technology architects, data scientists and software engineers.   

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Playing a central role in our digital transformation by identifying opportunities to leverage technology and data to enhance P&C reinsurance processes end-to-end.
  • Creating comprehensive documentation for business requirements, system specifications, and process workflows.
  • Streamlining underwriting processes and enhance decision-making through the analysis of workflows and data.
  • Conducting thorough analysis of existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement digital solutions aligned with business unit goals and improving overall efficiency.
  • Working closely with underwriting teams to gather and document business requirements, with a focus on data-driven enhancements.
  • Ensuring seamless integration of systems by collaborating with IT teams and supporting the organization's digital ecosystem.
  • Effectively communicating with underwriters, IT professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of requirements, project progress, and initiative benefits.
  • Facilitating workshops and meetings to gather feedback and promote collaboration.
  • Training business users and supporting incident and defect resolution.

Key skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and re-prioritize around changing organizational objectives and timelines.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills; able to work independently as well as within a global team.

 

Additional Advantages

  • Understanding of P&C reinsurance underwriting processes and digital transformation principles.
  • Exposure to agile development approaches (e.g., Scrum) and familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Confluence.
  • Ability to identify strengths and weaknesses in the business process and suggests areas of improvement.

 

Minimum base salary for this job from 3300 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. We are required by law to disclose basic wage component (minimum salary) for the advertised positions. We carefully consider your professional competencies, qualifications and experience in our compensation package and/or when offering you other positions.
