About the role

As a Business analyst in Markit, you'll work on business and data driven initiatives centered around market data platforms. 

  

As a member of our team, you will:  

  • support Markit EDM platform by analyzing data discrepancies through mastering market data vendors offering and datasets down to writing crystal clear specifications.  

  • have your hands and mind working with market data (instruments, pricing) as well as static data (portfolios, accounts...).  

  • build and maintain trusted relationships with internal customers by understanding their business process as well as issues and challenges. 

  • take ownership and ship features, bug fixes, and improvements with support from other team members when needed.  

  • gain understanding of the end-to-end landscape and support testing and rollout of new products and asset classes. 

  • represent team and provide support, knowledge and team capabilities to projects and initiatives outside our squad.

About the team

Our team is in the center of Asset Management data processing - including generation of golden copy for security master, credit ratings, prices and other market data related datasets. We do support teams through workflows and data maintenance processes, delivered to users and downstream systems on time. We also support data governance over unstructured data, data lineage and AI use-cases. 

 

About you

Your qualifications:  

  • 5+ years of work experience in securities trading organization 

  • good understanding of financial product data models (transactions, positions, security master) and products such as bonds, equities, derivatives etc. 

  • data oriented and data savvy with good command of SQL 

  • strong communication skills with excellent documentation & facilitation skills 

  • great standout colleague with a ‘can do’ approach and curiosity about learning 

  • high degree of flexibility, independent and proactive working style 

  

Nice-to-have: 

  • solid grasp of any market data golden copy system (Markit EDM, Asset Control, GAIN) 

  • experience with business intelligence tools like PowerBI, Tableau 

 

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR  3 100 and EUR 5 100 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

 

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
