Senior Crisis & Resilience Manager (Hybrid set up)

About the Role
In this position, you will serve as a subject matter expert for Crisis Management and Operational Resilience and provide strategic, operational, and tactical advice to senior leaders during incidents, exercises, and resilience transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the Operational Resilience & Crisis Management Frameworks, ensuring alignment with standards, regulations and best practices
- Contribute to the team's strategic direction and core objectives, incorporating emerging risks, external trends, and regulatory developments
- Foster and maintain strong stakeholder relationships to enhance resilience, influence decision-making, and promote alignment across business functions
- Own and manage crisis management and resilience training, testing and exercising, including curriculum and exercise design, delivery, and remediation
- Partner with intelligence teams to inform exercise scenario design and promote a risk-based approach to testing readiness and response performance
- Coordinate and support real-world crisis responses through triage, invocation, situational assessment, impact analysis, log-keeping, action tracking and reporting
- Provide on-call and out-of-hours incident and crisis response activities, when required
- Lead analysis of complex crisis or resilience issues, translating findings into compelling executive-level presentations and delivering actionable insights to senior leadership with confidence and credibility
- Manage relevant supplier relationships supporting crisis management and resilience programmes
- Mentor colleagues and foster a culture of preparedness, accountability, and continuous improvement
About the Team
The Group Crisis Management Function (GCMF) is part of Operational Resilience and leads on ensuring the organisation remains operational and effective and can meet its commitments during disruptions or crises. We are a global team, with practitioners based in Zurich, Hyderabad, Bangalore, New York, Madrid, Bratislava and London.
About You
You are a recognised crisis and resilience professional with a genuine passion for helping organisations prepare for, respond to and recover from disruptive events. You are comfortable operating in complex environments, engaging confidently with senior stakeholders and providing clear, considered advice during incidents and crises. You understand that invocations do not follow business hours and are prepared to support response activities when and where circumstances demand.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in crisis and incident management, operational resilience, or business continuity in a multinational organisation
- Proven experience developing or implementing crisis management and operational resilience frameworks, standards, or procedures
- Strong experience in designing, facilitating, and evaluating crisis management and resilience simulations and tabletop exercises
- Hands-on experience responding to complex real-world incidents or crises involving stakeholders from operational teams through to senior executives
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale, cross-functional programmes and projects, delivering results within scope, budget, and timelines
- The ability to advise and influence senior leaders during high-pressure and uncertain situations translating complex issues into clear options and recommendations
- Demonstrated experience in leading risk assessments, reviews, control evaluations, or resilience-related activities across complex organizations
- Proven experience in vendor, contract and billing management
- Advanced presentation skills
- Fluent written and spoken English language
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Crisis Management, BCM, or Operational Resilience
- Knowledge of insurance, reinsurance, financial services; or
- Experience in client-facing management consulting or advisory roles
- Experience in leading or developing teams
- Experience incorporating Threat Intelligence into exercise design
- Knowledge of regulatory or audit requirements
- Expertise operating crisis management platforms and tools
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,100 and EUR 5,100 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
Our company has a hybrid work model where you are required to be in the office at least three days per week.
