About the Role
As a Senior Data & Project Manager within our Risk Engineering Services (RES) Technology & Analytics team, you'll be at the forefront of developing and enhancing tools and data products for both internal and external stakeholders. Your work will directly impact how our Risk Engineers assess and mitigate risks for our global customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, serving as the crucial bridge between Risk Engineers and IT/development teams
- Drive data quality initiatives and support the development of Machine Learning/AI solutions for Risk Engineering applications
- Conduct product user acceptance testing and training for Risk Engineers on new tools and features
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to determine applicability in the Risk Engineering and Underwriting domain
- Support process optimization to increase efficiency and standardization across global Risk Engineering operations
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical teams across global locations
- Support end-to-end project management for Risk Engineering tools and data initiatives, from requirements gathering to implementation and evaluation
About the Team
The Risk Engineering Services (RES) team is part of Swiss Re Corporate Solutions that offers innovative insurance solutions for multi-national corporations around the globe. It is represented globally by around 200 employees across more than 20 Swiss Re offices worldwide. Your role will be within the global RES Centre unit, serving regional RES business units worldwide. You'll be part of a diverse team with expertise in data analytics, AI, risk engineering, process analysis, and project management. You'll report to the Lead RES Technology & Analytics in Zurich, working within a team located in Zurich, Bratislava, and Bangalore, and stakeholders worldwide.

You're comfortable taking responsibility and making decisions even in uncertain situations, and you excel at building strong working relationships with colleagues around the globe.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)
- 8+ years of experience in project management with demonstrated ability to deliver projects from inception to completion
- Proven experience serving as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT/technical teams, translating business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong track record of end-to-end delivery of data or technology solutions in a business environment
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and proactively move projects forward
These are additional nice to haves:
- Hands-on experience in developing and rolling out Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence solutions for business
- Experience with data quality management and process optimization
- Additional language skills beyond English
- Experience in the insurance industry or risk engineering
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,300 and EUR 5,400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
