About the role
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and optimizing the backbone of our company-wide Single Version of Truth data foundation. You will take the lead in designing and refining data models, building efficient and scalable data pipelines that deliver high-quality, trusted data to the business
Your Impact

Lead the design and development of scalable data architectures and pipelines to assemble large, complex datasets that support business objectives.

Collaborating with business stakeholders, understanding their data needs, finding innovative ways to leverage data in their daily processes and inform data-led decisions.

Mentoring team members, shaping best practices, and driving innovation across the Data Architecture & Engineering team.

Collaboratinge with other members of the Data Architecture & Engineering team, including Data Architects, Data Engineers and Data Analysts.
About you
We are looking for someone with a solid foundation in data engineering and analytics, coupled with a passion for data-driven solutions. You should be confident in designing scalable data pipelines and data architecture, ensuring that our systems are robust, and efficient.
To excel in this role, you should possess:

A degree in computer science or a related field, with a strong foundation in data engineering and analytics.

A deep understanding of software and data engineering principles, with a focus on proper techniques and best practices.

Proficiency in Python, SQL and experience with distributed computing (Spark).

Practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
-
Practical experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, Palantir Foundry, AWS).

Experience in building data-related solutions and applications, including the data modelling, design, development, and deployment in Agile setup.

Previous project management or leadership experience in delivering data-related solutions, including leading teams and driving projects to successful completion.

Experience in collaborating and working with global business stakeholders.
For Slovakia, the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 3,300] and [EUR 5,500] (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
