About the Role

 

As a Senior Frontend Software Developer, you'll be at the forefront of designing and implementing sophisticated web applications that power our financial operations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into seamless user experiences while maintaining the highest standards of code quality and performance.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Architect and develop responsive, user-friendly web applications using Angular and related frontend technologies
  • Lead technical implementation of new features and enhancements for financial applications
  • Collaborate closely with backend developers, UX designers, and business stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Implement and maintain robust testing strategies including unit tests and integration tests (Cypress)
  • Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance on frontend best practices
  • Participate actively in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and evaluate their potential application

 

About the Team

 

The EFR Services team is dedicated to building APIs and GUI applications for Finance IT within Swiss Re. We develop and maintain critical systems that enable financial operations, reporting, and analysis across the organization. Our solutions help transform complex financial processes into streamlined, user-friendly experiences that drive business efficiency.

 

About You

 

You're a problem-solver at heart who thrives in collaborative environments. You have a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences. You're comfortable navigating complex requirements and translating them into elegant technical solutions. You value clean, maintainable code and enjoy sharing knowledge with your colleagues.

 

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with Angular development (versions 2+)
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS
  • Experience with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
  • Proven track record of building complex enterprise-level applications

 

These are additional nice to haves:

 

  • Knowledge of UI component libraries (Angular Material, PrimeNG)
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jasmine, Cypress)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of financial domain or experience in fintech/finance industry
  • Experience with RxJS and reactive programming patterns
  • Additional frontend frameworks (React, Vue.js)

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 2,800 and EUR 4,600 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

 

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​

Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
