Senior HR Business Partner

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Partner to provide high-quality, customer-focused HR services to a designated client group. In this role, you will support around 600 employees, striving for operational excellence and strategic advisory by building strong relationships with our business leaders both within and outside Slovakia.

 

What You'll Do:

 

  • Establish Relationships: Align HR philosophy and business priorities with the strategic direction of the location and functional growth by building strong relationships with leadership teams.
  • Provide Credible HR Support: Advise, guide, and lead on complex employee relations cases such as performance management and disciplinaries, including collaboration with internal and external Legal Counsel when necessary.
  • Coach and Advise Leaders: Offer guidance on all people-relevant topics, including talent management, succession planning, performance management, and compensation, in close collaboration with our Global HR Partners.
  • Facilitate and Coordinate: Serve as a facilitator, project coordinator, and subject matter expert on HR-related initiatives and projects, working as part of an EMEA HR community.
  • Champion Inclusion & Diversity: Continually support and champion Inclusion & Diversity and wellbeing initiatives, working cross-functionally where possible.
  • Drive Change Management: Support and drive any change management required to successfully execute the agreed-upon HR strategic plan.
  • Improve Work Relationships: Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.

 

About the Team

 

You will become part of the local Slovak HR team with a direct reporting line to the Head of HR for Swiss Re Slovakia. You will work closely with colleagues from HR across the world, as we are part of an international community. We are very client-focused with an outstanding team spirit and passion to perform. While we build on our relationship with our clients, we share our expertise and know-how to create new value for the business and Swiss Re.

 

About you

 

  • Educational Background: You have a university degree or equivalent HR background.
  • HR Experience: You bring strong HR generalist experience, including solid experience in Slovakia Employee Relations and knowledge of local employment law, applying this practically and pragmatically within a commercial framework.
  • Commercial Mindset: You bring a commercial mindset and apply a flexible working style.
  • Professional Experience: You have 5+ years of experience in a similar role and ideally experience working in a global matrix organization.
  • Collaborative Team Player: You foster strong relationships based on trust and integrity.
  • Influencing Skills: You demonstrate excellent influencing skills and the ability to stand firm and push back when needed.
  • Empathetic with Edge: You act empathetically with edge and can deal with ambiguity and change.

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3200 and EUR 5300 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

 

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​

  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

 

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​
