Senior IT Business Analyst (Maternity Cover)

About the Role

As a Senior IT Business Analyst you would work closely with software engineers to enhance and maintain the new software in respect of project specific customizations, testing, bug fixing and operations. This includes communication with an international user community as well as wide range of other IT colleagues across the globe.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive resolution of complex issues during a roll-out of the system
  • Monitor and maintain interfaces, implement data quality checks
  • Analyze errors and incident, propose solutions and corrections
  • Support operations and define semi-automated validations
  • Perform and coordinate data clean ups and migrations
  • Gather inputs for changes from users and analyze dependencies on other squads
  • Translate business requirements to developers including testing support
  • Build up and share knowledge about applications and processes

About the Team

The Quota Share Retro Squad is a mid-size international team that's always working to find new ways to solve challenges. We are responsible for multiple JAVA based micro-services communicating with each other using Kafka and ultimately feeding the SAP sub-ledger with inputs for financial closing.

About You

Key skills and Experience 

  • University degree in technical, financial, or business field (or comparable education/degree)
  • Minimum three years of software design/maintenance experience
  • High level of abstraction, fast understanding, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and drive objections to completion 
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and SQL
  • Experience with Agile ways of working (SCRUM/Kanban)
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial reporting

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 2,200] and [EUR 3,700] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
