Senior IT Business Analyst for Finance Reporting & Analytics

About the role 

 

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team, supporting business-critical data-driven solutions.

 

This role requires a well-balanced profile combining technical capabilities with solid business analysis expertise. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on technical background (e.g., software development or similar) and is motivated to connect systems, data, and business processes to drive practical and scalable Reporting & Analytics solutions. 

 

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, acting as a trusted execution partner and taking full end-to-end ownership of initiatives while working within the strategic direction defined.

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Take end-to-end ownership of system and process implementation and improvement initiatives, from requirements definition through implementation and validation. 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, refine requirements, and propose scalable and pragmatic solutions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and structured technical specifications, and ensure transparent delivery with visibility on progress, risks and dependencies.
  • Conduct delivery planning and support Product Owners in product backlog management, ensuring alignment between business priorities and technical readiness.
  • Drive the implementation of new products and features and provide ongoing support for existing Reporting & Analytics applications and data products in a BAU environment.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to validate business logic, transform data, and ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, developers and architects to design robust and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards.
  • Independently manage the workstream, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities, and timelines.
  • Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and adherence to governance and control standards. 
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement.

You will join the Palantir Foundry Reporting & Analytics Solutions team, a high‑impact product team working at the intersection of Finance, data, and technology. About You

We are looking for a candidate who meets these requirements: 

 

  • 5 – 8+ years of relevant experience in IT Business Analysis or hybrid technical/business roles, ideally in Finance (e.g., accounting), Sustainability, and/or Reporting & Analytics.
  • Ability to operate independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision. 
  • Experience with database concepts, data structures and software development (e.g., Python, PySpark, SQL).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to bridge business and technology and influence at multiple seniority levels.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into implementable technical solutions, balancing feasibility, scalability, and delivery constraints.
  • Proven experience with Palantir Foundry or comparable modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake), combined with a background in Finance / Sustainability / FP&A and the (Re-)Insurance industry is a strong advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving mindset, including familiarity with product delivery and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strong command of Agile ways of working and environments (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
  • Experience applying AI technologies and techniques to support product development and business analysis processes.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality principles and/or experience with audit processes is an advantage.
  • Learning mindset and adaptability to new business domains. 

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,200 and EUR 5,300 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​
