Senior IT Business Analyst

About the Role

As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you work closely with software engineers to enhance and maintain the system in respect of regulatory requirements, user specific customizations, testing, bug fixing and operations. This includes communication with an international user community as well as wide range of other IT colleagues across the globe. You also represent the FINCO IT Team in Bratislava

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive resolution of complex issues during a roll-out of the system
  • Monitor and maintain interfaces, implement data quality checks
  • Analyze errors and incident, propose solutions and corrections
  • Support operations and define semi-automated validations
  • Perform and coordinate data clean ups and migrations
  • Gather inputs for changes from users and analyze dependencies on other teams
  • Translate business requirements to developers including testing
  • Build up and share knowledge about applications and processes

About the Team

The FINCO Operations Team is a small Zurich based team that is seeking to expand its operations to the Bratislava Hub. We are responsible for a JAVA based system and related micro-services communicating with each other to ultimately feed the SAP and other sub-ledgers with inputs for financial closing.

About You

You can rely on your strong analytical and problem-solving skills when dealing with challenges and opportunities. Your social skills make it easier for you to work within a small team. Flexibility and curiosity play a role in your ability to learn new skills quickly.

Essentials

  • University degree in financial, actuarial or business field (or comparable education/degree)
  • Minimum three years of software design/maintenance experience
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial reporting, preferably in IFRS17/9/15 or other local STATs
  • Good knowledge of MS Office; SQL is an advantage

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with Agile ways of working (SCRUM/Kanban)

 

The minimum gross monthly base salary for this role is 3 300 EUR full time.
