Senior IT Business Analyst

About the role 

 

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Analyst to join our team, supporting business-critical data-driven solutions. 

 

This role requires a well-balanced profile combining technical capabilities with solid business analysis expertise. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on technical background (e.g., software development or similar) and is motivated to connect systems, data, and business processes to drive practical and scalable solutions. 

 

You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, acting as a trusted execution partner and taking full end-to-end ownership of initiatives while working within the strategic direction defined. 

 

Curiosity, adaptability, and a strong willingness to learn new business domains are key success factors in this role. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

• Take end-to-end ownership of system and process improvement initiatives, from requirements definition through implementation and validation. 
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand needs, refine requirements, and propose scalable and pragmatic solutions. 
• Translate business requirements into clear and structured technical specifications. 
• Perform in-depth data analysis to validate business logic, transform data, and ensure consistency and reliability. 
• Collaborate closely with developers and architects to design robust and maintainable solutions aligned with enterprise standards. 
• Independently manage the workstream, ensuring alignment on scope, priorities, and timelines. 
• Ensure proper documentation, traceability, and adherence to governance and control standards. 
• Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuous improvement. 
• Gradually build domain knowledge in financial and planning processes.

About You: 

 

You will work as a member of our dynamic financial planning team. Your work will have a direct impact on streamlining processes, improving system functionality, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the business. 

 

Qualifications 

 

• 5–8+ years of experience in IT Business Analysis or hybrid technical/business roles in enterprise environments. 
• Previous hands-on experience in software development or technical background (Python preferred). 
• Strong data analysis skills with hands-on experience in Python. 
• Understanding of database concepts and data structures (SQL knowledge is a plus). 
• Ability to operate independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision. 
• Experience working in cross-functional and international environments. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Learning mindset and adaptability to new business domains. 

 

Preferred Skills 

 

• Experience working with enterprise data platforms. 
• Exposure to finance, planning, or other data-intensive business domains. 
• Experience working in Agile environments (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira). 
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles. 

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 3,200 and EUR 5,300 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​
