Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are diverse team of experts who are passionate in providing innovative solutions for our reinsurance business. We are currently investing in building strategic data management capabilities to ingest and harness key data sets across Swiss Re. We are looking to apply machine learning, AI, and data engineering to real-world problems.

If you join us, you will be able to participate in a variety of interesting initiatives. For example, you will:
 

• Work with Business SME's and analysts to develop automated/semi-automated data extraction solutions for pricing data from structured & semi-structured sources.
• Assess new and promising technologies with regards to their business potential and technical maturity, particularly in AI, MLOps, NLP and Generative AI.
• Design and implement data products in collaboration with data users and other engineering teams.
• Support many other exciting projects in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re's international offices.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

About you

To be successful in the role, you need to have these technical skills and knowledge:

• Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
• Working knowledge of Python
• Working knowledge of machine learning/statistics/natural language processing
• Ambition to build production grade data ingestion and transformation pipelines.

Additional advantages

If you also have the following experience and interests, it is a huge plus:

• Exposure to agile development approaches (e.g., Scrum) and familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, Confluence
• Experience in building data ingestion and transformation pipelines, ML model training pipelines and orchestration on platforms.
• Interest in working close to data scientists and domain experts.

Minimum base salary for this job from 3300 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits. We carefully consider your professional competencies, qualifications and experience in our compensation package and/or when offering you other positions.
