Senior Power BI Expert (Hybrid)

About the Role

Upon getting this role, you will work closely with senior stakeholders and business users to develop interactive, data-driven solutions that drive insights and decision-making. By combining technical expertise with a strong understanding of business needs, you will contribute to the development, optimization, and adoption of analytical products across the organization. With the guidance of experienced professionals, you will take ownership of key initiatives, ensuring data accuracy, model optimization, and seamless stakeholder engagement. 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Develop and maintain analytical solutions – Build, deploy, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards, ensuring high performance, data accuracy, and intuitive design for enhanced user adoption.
•    Manage data models and reporting frameworks – Create and maintain tabular data models using SSAS & Power BI Service, leveraging SQL and DAX to optimize analytics performance.
•    Engage with stakeholders and drive adoption – Collaborate with senior stakeholders to understand business needs, translate them into technical requirements, and ensure transparent delivery planning via Azure DevOps.
•    Lead training and knowledge sharing – Conduct Power BI training sessions, organize cross-domain tech forums, and proactively share best practices to enhance data literacy across the organization.
•    Support business-critical initiatives – Align analytics development with strategic objectives, assess and prioritize new opportunities, and drive the successful rollout of new insights-driven solutions.
•    Enhance analytics strategy and innovation – Explore emerging technologies, refine user experiences, and contribute to shaping the company’s long-term data and analytics vision.

Technical Skills:
•    PowerBI expert with 5+ years of hands-on experience  
•    Proficiency in Power BI visualization capabilities and data storytelling 
•    Strong know-how of DAX for data modelling and querying   
•    SSAS and Power BI Services experience and skilled in complex calculations
•    Proficiency in SQL and PySpark for data querying and manipulation
•    Familiarity with DevOps and Fabric is an advantage
•    Proficiency in English

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between 3 300€ and 5 500€ per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, 
•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognize your achievements.
