About the role

The Product Owner for Markit EDM is responsible for overseeing the development and management of the Markit EDM platform. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs, defining the product vision, and ensuring that the development team delivers high-quality solutions that meet business objectives. It includes also close oversight and management of external vendor operating SaaS platform.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with business and IT stakeholders, including senior management, to gather requirements and understand their needs and priorities.
  • Define Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for Markit EDM, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Manage Product Backlog: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that the development team is working on the most valuable features.
  • Evaluate Product Progress: Monitor and evaluate the progress of the product at each stage of development, ensuring that it meets the defined acceptance criteria.
  • Provide Status Updates: Regularly update stakeholders on the status of the product, including progress, risks, and any changes to the product roadmap.
  • Measure Quality, Metrics and Reporting: Define and track KPIs and success metrics for the product. Monitor product performance, usage patterns, and stakeholder satisfaction to guide future enhancements.
  • Address Client Inquiries: Ensure that client inquiries are addressed on time and in good quality, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Manage external SaaS provider: Actively manage relationship with external SaaS provider, ensuring that their services align with the product's requirements and business objectives.
  • Provide Constructive Feedback: Offer constructive feedback and guidance to team members, helping them grow professionally and personally while improving their skills.
  • Motivate and inspire: Take care of team morale by recognizing achievements, addressing concerns, and promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Ensure Data Quality & Governance: Work closely with IT and data governance as well as data architecture teams to support and comply to enterprise data standards and frameworks.

About the team

Our Bratislava based team is at the core of Asset Management data processing - including generation of golden copy for security master, credit ratings, prices and other market data related data sets. We do support teams through workflows and data maintenance processes, delivered to users and downstream systems on time. We also support our colleagues in data governance over analytics, data lineage and AI use-cases.

 

About you

Your qualifications: 

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in product management, preferably with knowledge of financial markets and asset management.
  • IT Generalist with SQL, business intelligence, data analytics, business analysis, JIRA/Azure DevOps skills
  • Experience with Markit EDM or similar data management platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and strong communication skills with excellent documentation & facilitation skills
  • Sound understanding of Agile methodologies, excellent communication and leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A master’s degree in business, Computer Science, or a related field or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Product Owner) is a plus.
  • High degree of flexibility, independent and proactive working style, able to lead and manage others

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 3,300] and [EUR 5,400] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​
