Site Reliability Engineer - Infrastructure

About the role

 

As a DevOps Site Reliability Engineer you will have an unusual and phenomenal opportunity to join us - we are a diverse and motivated team, committed to delivering value and creative services together with our clients and partners in the primary insurance space!

 

This will include end-to-end engagement, from inception to production and continuously improving high-availability services in the cloud. As well as delivering high-quality solutions and deployment strategies, focusing on reliability, automation, maintainability and security.

 

Run production system alongside other engineering teams, focusing on devising automatic metrics and logs collection, self-healing capabilities and other technical solutions. In order to improve security and resilience of the infrastructure and avoiding incidents and problems from reoccurring.

 

About you

 

  • 4+ years implementing deployment/releasing tooling, supervising and alerting dashboards in a DevOps or software engineering role

  • Understanding the trade-offs of different solutions and apply standard methodologies with regards to performance, reliability, availability and security of high-availability concurrent infrastructures.

  • Experience with AWS+ Docker, Kubernetes + Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet + GIT, Gradle, Bazel/Pants/Buck, Jenkins ...

  • Passion for code craftsmanship (Go, Python, Rust, Java, Kotlin, Scala, C++, C#, Ruby)

  • Thoughtful problem-solver who is self-motivated and quick to learn

  • Full English proficiency is required

Minimum base salary for this job is 2000 eur. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
