Software Engineer - .NET/C#

About the Role

We have an open Backend Engineering position where we need your expertise while you can grow further. 

We are looking for an experienced Engineer who can contribute to our team and deliver high-quality code.

As a Backend Engineering, you will work in an agile squad alongside Technical Squad Leads who code, provide technical expertise, and assist with solution design.

Our Backend is written in C# running on .NET version 8 and leveraging various Azure Cloud Services (e.g., AKS, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, ASB). The Backend serves various user specific Frontends written in Angular.

 

SwiftRe® is an Azure Cloud based application that… 

  • Has a worldwide user base 
  • Is highly integrated into the full value chain of Swiss Re (including core legacy services) 
  • Must fulfill high security and compliance standards 
  • Uses state of the art technology stacks

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Backend Engineer with a background in .NET/C#. You should be a collaborative, ready to support the successful delivery of our innovative features and solutions, in a fast-paced and agile environment.

If you possess traits and experience that match most of the below, we would love to hear from you:

  • 5+ years of experience with .NET/C# ideally with focus transactional enterprise applications
  • Familiarity with relational and non-relational database technology/concepts
  • Experience in (micro-) service solution design using synchronous and asynchronous integration patterns
  • Educational Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent Communication Skills in English, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with the team and stakeholders

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 3,800] and [EUR 6,300] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role, ​
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.​

In addition to your base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component, designed to recognise your achievements. Further you will enjoy a variety of global and location specific benefits.​
