About the Role
As a Strategy & Operations Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting critical business functions within our Group Data Services organization. You'll play a key role in coordinating events, managing communications, and maintaining digital platforms while building skills that will set you apart in your future career.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate events by planning logistics, sending invitations, and ensuring smooth execution of team gatherings and meetings
- Support communications initiatives by drafting content and helping distribute important messages across the organization
- Manage leadership team calendars to optimize scheduling and ensure efficient time management
- Create and distribute New Joiners newsletters to welcome new team members and inform the team
- Maintain Sharepoint and Intranet Portal by updating content and enhancing communication channels about GDS activities
- Support cross-team collaboration by preparing meeting materials and documenting outcomes
- Contribute to process improvement by identifying opportunities to simplify and standardize workflows
About the Team
You'll be joining the Data Strategy & Operations team, which shapes Group Data Services' strategic direction and transformation while ensuring smooth operations with meticulous risk management. We bridge strategy and delivery - an energetic, solution-oriented team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and making things happen. Our GDS Enablement team supports operations, awareness, and performance across all GDS departments hands on, making the organization more client-focused, efficient, technically stronger, and profitable through process improvements and risk mitigation.
About You

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration,Communications, Marketing, or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to create clear and engaging content
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
These are additional nice to haves:
- Previous internship or project experience in communications or event coordination
- Experience with digital content management systems (e.g., SharePoint)
- Familiarity with newsletter creation and distribution tools
- Experience with calendar management for executives or teams
- Interest in financial services or insurance industry
- Basic project management skills
The minimum gross base salary for this role is 7 EUR/ per hour. Our final offer to you will be set up fairly, considering the skills and experience that you bring to the Swiss Re Group.
