Sustainability Business Analyst

About the team 

 

ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) regulations and standards are rapidly emerging across the globe and imposing new and complex reporting requirements which impact Swiss Re. Our team together with you are responsible for shaping and building the Sustainability Reporting platform encompassing all technology and data capabilities which allow for efficient end-to-end data flows and reporting, on a global as well as on local legal entity level to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

The Sustainability Business Analyst is a meaningful role within our team, responsible for managing and analysing data related to the company's sustainability initiatives. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of sustainability metrics, as well as supporting the development and implementation of sustainability strategies and solutions.

 

About the role 

 

  • Collaborate with technical experts across the company to ensure smooth adoption of the Digital & Tech Strategy, with a focus on sustainability initiatives and automated data delivery.
  • Provide governance advice and support the Sustainability Reporting Program, ensuring that risk and controls frameworks are in place and followed by the data providing units.
  • Facilitate communities to foster technical exchanges on Sustainability Reporting relevant data architecture and relevant data models.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to represent Sustainability Reporting InfoTech and coordinate alignment on sustainability-related matters.
  • Closely collaborate with Sustainability Reporting product squads and colleagues from the business units and group functions to understand requirements and translate them into application specifications and solutions.
  • Closely liaising with Data Engineers, Testers and Architects within the Data & Technology workstream to determine concepts and support in building up the Sustainability Reporting Eco-System.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables of the Data & Technology workstream.

 

About you  

 

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proven experience in data management and analysis, preferably in sustainability reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A results-driven team player with a collaborative, "can-do”, energetic self-starter personality
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting, IT operations and/or governance processes is a plus.
  • University degree in a related field (e.g., Environmental Science, Data Management, Computer Science).
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 2,100 and EUR 3,400 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

  • the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
  • the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

In the situation where you significantly exceed the requirements, the offered salary may be above the advertised range.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
