Third Party Operations Specialist

Abou the Team & About the Role

 

This position plays a crucial operational role in supporting the effective execution and resilience of Swiss Re’s global Third-Party Management (TPM) framework. Third-Party Management Operations is central to all TPM teams, orchestrating third party related operational activities for the Swiss Re group. The team spans across Bratislava and Bangalore, with a key focus on performing due diligence assessments, providing both standard and ad-hoc reports, triaging requests and supporting the Organization's Operational Resilience activities.

 

As a member of the TPM Operations team, you will be directly involved in applying the framework consistently across the third-party lifecycle, including onboarding, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and offboarding. You will work with technology, tools, and data managed by the Third-Party Data & Technology team to actively support the management and oversight over third-party portfolio. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will coordinate third-party management efforts and build strong working relationships across various divisions and functions within the first line of defence activities. You will also be responsible for ensuring that the TPM Operations team delivers accurate and timely data, insights and reporting transparency to business stakeholders. Main tasks and activities:

 

  • Manage and perform operational tasks across the third-party lifecycle, including onboarding due diligence, monitoring, issue tracking, and offboarding, ensuring timely and accurate completion in line with the TPM framework.
  • Triage and manage incoming third-party requests and tickets, categorizing and routing them appropriately to support efficient processing and resolution.
  • Generate and deliver regular and ad hoc reports to support internal governance, regulatory compliance, and business transparency.
  • Monitor and continuously evaluate third-party risks as per TPM framework using third party risk intelligence systems
  • Regularly review, update, and maintain process documentation to ensure smooth workflow for users and in compliance to organizational standards
  • Support the preparation and execution of scenario-based testing and resilience assessments involving third parties, including incident event simulations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and supporting enhancements to tools, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
  • Participate and contribute in ad-hoc activities and projects as needed to support the TPM objectives and goals

 

About you

 

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business.

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Third party management or operational risk role in the financial services industry, or compliance functions, with a demonstrated ability to execute third party life-cycle processes, resolve issues, and deliver consistent outcomes in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Management of high-quality data and documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
  • Proven ability to contribute to process improvement initiatives and support operational change.
  • Experience in managing operational processes and controls, including ticket triaging, issue tracking, and reporting across global teams.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., DORA, EIOPA, FINMA, PRA, MAS) and their operational implications is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting internal and external audits, with a focus on operational preparedness and evidence gathering.

 

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, and PowerApps.
  • Ability to inspire and implement new Third-Party Management practices in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Effective communicator with strong influencing skills, with the willingness to build and maintain virtual relationships and ability to work effectively across teams and functions, including in matrixed and global environments.
  • Proactive mindset and a strong drive to deliver results and support team success.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-oriented approach to service delivery.
  • Collaborative and transparent communicator, with excellent networking, presentation, and facilitation abilities.
  • Service-minded and solution-driven, with the ability to remain pragmatic and effective in ambiguous or rapidly changing situations.

 

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,900 and EUR 3,200 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:​

•    the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,

•    the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialization, skills and experience.

 

This is a maternity cover position.
