Key Responsibilities
- Detect and analyze security vulnerabilities using cutting-edge scanning tools
- Track and document the vulnerability lifecycle using modern collaboration platforms
- Partner with system owners to explain technical issues and guide remediation efforts
- Contribute to automation of vulnerability management processes
- Research and stay current on emerging security threats and mitigation techniques
- Assist in coordinating responses to critical security events
- Help develop security metrics and reporting dashboards
- Participate in projects to continuously improve our security posture
About the Team
Being part of the CSO organization means we are the focal point for security activities across Swiss Re. Inside the Preparedness & Assurance Squad we make sure we actively discover and monitor known vulnerabilities across the whole company and warn system owners about what needs to be fixed, pushing for automation and integration with all the different products. With our vulnerability expertise, we analyse Swiss Re's risk exposure and deliver recommendations to respective management teams. About You
You're a tech-savvy, curious professional at the start of your cybersecurity journey. Your academic background has given you a solid foundation in security concepts, and your internships or part-time roles have provided some practical experience. You're eager to learn, comfortable with digital collaboration, and ready to grow your skills in a supportive environment that values fresh perspectives.
We need you to bring in the following must haves:
- Educational background in cybersecurity, information technology, or related field
- Some practical experience with security tools through internships, projects, or part-time work
- Basic understanding of vulnerability management concepts and security best practices
- Strong digital collaboration skills and comfort with remote/hybrid working environments
- Clear communication abilities in English, both written and verbal
These are additional nice to haves:
- Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools like Nessus, Qualys, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 or CWE/CVE frameworks
- Experience with ticketing systems or project management tools
- Interest in security automation or scripting (Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Additional language skills

For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 1,800] and [EUR 2,900] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
- the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
- the applicant's own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
