Windows Cloud Engineer
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Windows Engineer in order to improve our ability to deliver reliable, cost-effective and modern solutions in private and public cloud environments (e.g. Swisscom Cloud, MS Azure).
We need a specialist for: engineering our Windows cloud service and cloud infrastructure, drive process automation to next level (Azure DevOps) and look after our management system (Puppet, Chocolatey) with a good understanding of computer and network security.
You will be responsible to:

Design and automate build of Windows Server blueprints based on Swiss Re IT governance

Design, develop, implement and enhance the Windows DevOps domain (Puppet, CMDB, Chocolatey, Proget, WSUS)

Design, implement, and manage Puppet manifests, modules, and configurations to ensure desired state configuration in Windows domain

Develop and maintain custom Puppet modules to automate repetitive tasks and configuration management.

Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure changes.

Focus on standardization and infrastructure automation

Provide consultancy to internal customers on application onboarding and all relevant infrastructure topics

Technically lead and contribute to application and (mainly) infrastructure projects
About the Team
Our team provides IT services to internal customers within Swiss Re. The Infrastructure Team consists of software developers, systems and information engineers. We provide high quality infrastructure services and ensure smooth operation of critical platforms and business solutions. We work in multi-functional, agile teams on delivering IT solutions in close collaboration with customers and platform owners.
About You

Proven experience in Windows system engineering and cloud infrastructure management.

Proven experience in scripting and automation (e.g. Ruby, PowerShell)

Proven knowledge of automation, configuration and infrastructure management (preferably Puppet)

Experience with development tools such as Azure DevOps and Git

Good understanding of general technical concepts like LDAP, Kerberos, DNS, DHCP, networking

Excellent knowledge of concepts, engineering, implementation, usage and operations; able to approach topics from a holistic view

Strong troubleshooting skills; able to analyze issues/problems, identify alternative solutions including consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations

Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles, APIs, Microservices and related (Cloud) paradigms (e.g. RESTful services)

Good security background i.e. you will be expected to take into account security implications in every task you do and every system you design
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between [EUR 3,700] and [EUR 6,100] per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:
• the requirements, scope, complexity and responsibilities of the role,
• the applicant’s own profile including education/qualifications, expertise, specialisation, skills and experience.
In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
