About the role


Are you a leader who is strategic with strong desire for developing promising talent? You may be the person! We are looking for an individual to lead one of our Investment Reporting teams.

 

As Team Leader you will ensure that the respective services are provided in the quality and timeline cooperated with the stakeholders. You provide hands-on support when required, seek possibilities to further develop, streamline and improve the team's processes and talent.

 

Further, you ensure compliance with the risk and control framework and audit requirements.

 

Your main activities will include:

 

 

  • Lead and develop a team of Investment Reporting and Data Management professionals, including staffing topics and performance management feedback
  • Ensure the team meets all the requirements and deadlines relating to the investment reporting activities
  • Support team members with detailed investigations of issues as well as working with other departments to drive resolution; review and organise work of the team
  • Critically assess and examine the current accounting & reporting processes and deliverables and propose areas for improvement and optimisation for the future target state
  • Develop a solid understanding of data flow, system landscapes and system interactions impacting accounting transactions under relevant valuations and provide insight that helps to ensure a smooth flow of information through the accounting & reporting life cycle
  • Have a strong contribution to the various stages of assigned projects while ensuring global alignment of all internal processes
  • Coordinate the assigned operations of 3rd party outsourcing provider
  • Actively participate and drive team members towards constant improvement and innovation
  • Ensure that stakeholder management and alignment of interests are successfully met
  • Make sure the team follows the existing process and control framework to stay aligned with internal and external audit requirements
  • Have the ability to drive initiatives and strategic projects effectively whilst being flexible and open for new tasks and challenges

 

About the team


The Global Investment Reporting Team is part of Finance Reinsurance and has ownership of sub-ledger accounting for investments including all valuations and related reporting deliverables.

 

The team consists of Investment Accounting and Data Management professionals. The Data Management team is responsible for the creation and maintenance of data related to various types of investment securities as well as investment portfolios in an internal accounting system.

 

The Investment Accounting team is responsible for financial accounting & closing of all investment sub-ledger balances across all accounting valuations, ensuring closing timelines are met and accounting policies and controls are adhered to.

  • We ensure investments output follows the requirements of any relevant accounting policy on its required reporting timeframe.
  • We produce accurate and timely investment accounting for carriers globally.
  • We report in line with Group and carrier mandates.
  • We transform investment data into accurate reportable format

 

About you


The successful candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

 

  • 7+ years in Finance, Accounting or Audit with respective Accounting Qualification or CPA
  • Significant experience in accounting and reporting with focus on investments or banking industry
  • Experience in a managerial / leadership position, preferably leading teams in the financial industry (e.g. banking, insurance) and in an international environment
  • Robust written and spoken English skills
  • Strategic approach with good communication and change management skills
  • Self-motivated and independent; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong interest in digitalisation and automation
  • Sound analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Excellent time management

Minimum base salary for this job from 2500 EUR gross/month/full time. Our offer to you may be higher based on your skills and experience and will include additional rewards and benefits.
