About the Role
As a Graduate Underwriter in our Corporate Solutions General Property team, you’ll be part of a high-performing group focused on growing an established and successful General Property Insurance portfolio. This portfolio consists of large, sophisticated corporate clients who operate within various industry segments throughout the United States.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting new and renewal business opportunities

Analyzing and assessing the technical insurability of prospective clients

Populating internal rating systems and underwriting risk reviews

Reviewing coverage structures, policy language, and preparing quotations

Attending and supporting the preparation for local broker visits

Assisting with portfolio evaluation and project work
About the Team
Our team works closely with brokers and clients to provide tailored insurance solutions while delivering excellent service. The Central Region team is comprised of professionals in Chicago, Kansas City, and Texas with financial and underwriting expertise and experience in the Commercial Property insurance sector. Together with these colleagues across the Central Region team, we ensure that our clients can access our global network of experts when required.
About You
This role is designed for early-career professionals with a maximum of three years of prior relevant full-time work experience. We are looking for people who want to make a difference!
To be successful in this role you will have:

A completed Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Clear communication and interpersonal abilities

Confidence in working independently and managing time effectively

A team-oriented mindset and openness to feedback

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other IT tools
The base salary for this role is $70,000. Candidates with advanced degrees may be eligible for a higher base compensation. Please note that the compensation details listed reflect the base salary only, and do not include short- and long-term incentives or other benefits offered.
