About the Team:

The Corporate Solutions Distribution Management (DM) team leads the relationship and business development efforts for Swiss Re Corporate Solutions North America to our broker trading partners.  The DM team represents all Corporate Solutions’ products and solutions (cross-class), including non-traditional solutions in order to maximize our Share-of-Wallet (SOW) and become the insurance partner of choice.


About this role:

In this role, you will use a structured approach to manage assigned producer relationships and further develop/identify new producer relationships specifically in the mid-market space to help generate profitable production opportunities. This will be achieved by aligning your business development activities with CorSo's Middle Market appetite, product and services. 


Core duties include: relationship management, pipeline development, portfolio tracking and reporting (internally and externally), educating producers on appetite, product and services and ensuring a strong market presence in the region/territory assigned.


You are expected to collaborate with our underwriting and product teams to identify new opportunities for profitable growth with existing relationships and develop new broker trading partners.

Also, there will be a responsibility for providing marketplace intelligence, broker feedback and analysis, supporting our commitment to exceptional products and service.


Our ideal candidate will..

  • Establish a strong network of broker, agents, clients and other key trading components
  • Develop expert knowledge of our appetite in this space
  • Execute our distribution strategy within a sales/KPI driven plan
  • Develop joint business targets by broking house. Assists (where necessary) in establishing or improving working relationships between line underwriters and respective placement brokers
  • Develop a clear understanding of their clients' risk management and insurance needs then implements a strategy to provide solutions, considering Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ complete product offering and expertise
  • Represent Corporate Solutions at regional insurance industry and broker events and seeks speaking engagements and press exposure (in collaboration with Communications team)

About You:


Professional Experience

  • University degree or 5+ plus years of Client/Broker management or Sales in the insurance and/or financial services industry
  • Extensive Sales/Marketing background which includes relationship management, marketing, and sales skills
  • Broad industry network with key stakeholders (brokers, risk managers, insurance professionals)
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and/or risk management
  • Familiarity of various CRM systems like salesforce.com, etc.
  • Solid understanding of key insurance lines and non-traditional solutions
  • Excellent understanding of insurance market, including key competitors, distribution channels, market trends and dynamics
  • Solid understanding of corporate finance and capital markets
