Claims Operations Specialist I
About the Role
We are looking for an agile, motivated, and dedicated personality who is ready to join our PC Business Operations Team in Mexico City as a CL Operations Analyst I.
As a Direct Insurance Associate, you will be responsible for handling direct insurance accounts and claims in an end-to-end policy fulfillment responsibility, ensuring business deliverables and working within a set framework of policies, processes and making suggestions/recommendations to management for improvement of the same.
Core Responsibilities:
- Capture accurate claim information by referring to initial notices and proactively handle claims including indexation of claim within the timelines defined.
- Ensure financial transactions/payments are in adherence to processes and guidelines, quality management framework and key controls.
- Contact internal business partners and external Clients/TPAs (either written or verbal) to resolve any long pending operational issues like missing account information, incorrect data, payment delays, etc.
- Ensuring that all correspondence with clients is professional and appropriate by adherence to process guidelines and norms.
- You will work collaboratively across teams, functions and regions and support the requirements of internal clients.
- Enter policy information into systems for consumption by other functions, such as Finance, Accounting, Claims and Reserving.

Our Claims APH & XSWC team brings significant value to Swiss Re with accurate and knowledgeable claims handling. Our responsibilities require regular interactions with peers and experts from other locations. With our continuous improvement mindset our aim is to provide our external clients and internal partners with fast, easy, and effective ways of conducting business within an environment where the risks are understood.
About You
- Minimum Bachelor's in Administration, Actuarial Science, Finance, Accounting, Insurance or related fields
- Proficient Excel knowledge. PowerBI would be an added advantage
- Effective interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
- Being an agile team player with the ability to manage own workload and demonstrate a sense of Accountability, Responsibility and Commitment.
- Ability to work together collaboratively, flexibly, and constructively in a team/group environment including in virtual set-ups.
- Ability to challenge the status quo and manage multiple business partners (multi-cultural and cross functional team in a virtual set-up).
- Advanced English
