Claims Specialist (80-100% working degree)

About the Role
Claims Operations is part of the global Operations function, which handles the in-force reinsurance business end to end.
Key responsibilities
- Independent review, analysis, and processing of claims transactions across various lines of business
- Close collaboration with claims managers on assigned portfolios and transactions requiring escalations.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across internal systems
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve identified issues collaboratively across Operations teams and other business functions, also support requirements of internal stakeholders as required.
- Ensure timely execution of KPI's, service level agreements and turnaround times.
- Develop and maintain broker and client relationships in your portfolio.
- Completion of various projects as assigned (local, cross-locational, regional, or global).
Occasional travel to Swiss Re locations or local clients/brokers might be required.

About You
You bring a commercial mindset and a self-motivated attitude, paired with a high degree of flexibility and agility in both thought and behavior.
You are someone who can demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and proactive critical thinking skills, allowing you to navigate complex tasks with confidence.
- Solid professional experience, preferably in the (re)insurance or financial sector is an advantage.
- Understanding of Reinsurance treaties, certs, and technical clauses is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple activities, meet deadlines and prioritize workload.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Able to work in a virtual/remote international/global/multicultural team environment
