Accident & Health, Stop loss Account Manager - Hybrid or Remote (US only)

Swiss Re's Accident & Health (A&H) Account Management team is a client facing team committed to excellence, supporting both sales and our internal and external customers. 

 

About the Role

 

In this role, your primary responsibility will be to support the sales team's new business and producer relationships as well as provide effective renewal discussions and client service support of your assigned in force book of business. Details of responsibilities include:

  • Manage/build relationships through producer meetings, underwriting and producer strategy discussions to ensure a successful renewal.
  • Responsible for coordinating renewals including policy revision and rate negotiations.
  • Accountable for maintaining the corporate retention percentage established annually across their assigned block of business.
  • Maintain a strong workable understanding of the stop loss underwriting process specific to the renewal process.
  • Knowledgeable on internal processes, systems, and product provisions.
  • Investigate, coordinate, and respond to service-related requests in conjunction with any department. 
  • Verify and complete the Sold Case Confirmation process for new sales, conduct implementation calls as needed and ensure all implementation items are complete through policy issue.

 

About the Team

The Account Management team consists of highly motivated, flexible, customer first focused individuals that support the growth and profitability of A&H, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions. Account Managers reside within their assigned territory to better support their book of business and enhance relationships with their producers.   They are passionate about exceeding goals and working collaboratively towards enhancing the customer's experience and improving internal operations.  Their vast knowledge of the stop loss industry, internal processes and collaboration with Underwriting enables them to successfully achieve their retention goals

 

About You

Due to the nature of this role, it is important to be detailed oriented, organized, and have collaborative communication skills including the ability to present and negotiate. Additional key skills include:

 

  • 5+ years Stop Loss Industry experience.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines with a large client base.
  • Work independently and self-motived.
  • Travel and in-person meetings are required.

 

For Armonk, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $156,000.  The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.  At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
