Claims & Underwriting Innovation Specialist - Hybrid

About the Role
As the L&H Claims & UW Innovation Specialist, you will play a key role in enhancing end-to-end workflows, championing digital tool utilization, and supporting the delivery of innovative initiatives that strengthen our underwriting and claims value proposition. Your work will improve efficiency, elevate data quality, and deepen the impact we deliver to clients.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead improvement initiatives to identify, recommend, and implement efficiency enhancements across mortality services workflows to optimize turnaround time, quality, and process consistency
- Champion digital adoption of tools such as UCM, Claims Manager, and reporting platforms, including support for training, communication, and implementation activities
- Represent business needs during the development, testing, and rollout of system enhancements and new technology solutions
- Bridge communication between business stakeholders and technology partners to ensure solutions meet operational requirements
- Support the change management activities to facilitate smooth transitions during implementation of new processes and tools
- Analyze workflows to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for optimization across underwriting and claims operations
About the Team
You will be part of the US L&H Underwriting and Claims Innovation team, a group dedicated to advancing the effectiveness and digital maturity of our underwriting and claims processes. The team partners closely with underwriting, claims, product owners, IT collaborators, and external vendors to deliver solutions that streamline operations and elevate the client's experience. We take pride in fostering a collaborative culture, championing new ideas, and driving impactful innovation that shapes the future of mortality risk services. About You
You are a collaborative, detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills and a passion for process improvement and technology enablement. You thrive in environments where you translate business needs into system solutions and support teams through change.
We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements:
- Business knowledge of underwriting and/or claims processes within U.S. L&H
- Experience or interest in innovation, process optimization, or workflow improvement initiatives
- Proven ability to collaborate across regions, groups and divisions within an organization
- Ability to manage small projects, prioritize effectively, and independently deliver results
- Ability to make data-driven decisions
These are additional nice to haves:
- Experience with digital tools, reporting platforms, and/or operational technology Knowledge of MSBI, Excel, or AI-enabled reporting tools
- Change management experience
- Experience in agile project environments
The estimated base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $144,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
This role is not eligible for either relocation assistance or visa sponsorship/visa transfer etc.
