L&H RE Records Management Manager - Hybrid (3 days in the office)

About the Role 

This newly created role will drive key elements of L&H Re Records Management and represent L&H in the Group Records Management Enhancement Program. The role combines regional accountability with global program involvement and plays a critical part in embedding the future Records Management Target Operating Model (TOM) within L&H Re. 

In this role, you will help transition L&H Re from legacy remediation towards a sustainable, business-integrated Records Management capability. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead remediation efforts for high-priority Records Management issues in the region and as part of the global team, including reducing physical records backlog, reviewing unindexed boxes, and addressing legacy electronic records challenges. 

  • Serve as a strategic gatekeeper between local business teams, Group Records Management, and CRES to ensure efficient coordination, clear accountability, and optimal resource utilization. 

  • Conduct detailed analysis of physical and electronic records data, document issues, and track remediation and quality improvement initiatives with precision. 

  • Drive knowledge sharing within L&H Re and across Group Records Management, ensuring valuable insights are incorporated into future TOM design and improvements. 

  • Implement and champion the future Records Management TOM within L&H Re, fully aligned with the Group TOM, acting as a strong advocate across the business. 

  • Take ownership of regional Records Management leadership, ensuring quality assurance activities and clear execution of local mandates. 

  • Assess regional requirements, connect with local stakeholders, and promote adherence to DRM processes and guidelines. 

  • Support integration of Group deliverables into regional business processes and ensure local adoption and operationalization. 

  • Contribute strategically to planning, issue triage, risk identification, and structured execution across remediation and governance topics. 

 

About the Team 

Records Management is a new team as part of L&H Business Operations. We work with stakeholders across the entire L&H value chain, IT, as well as GDTO.  Key focus of this new team will be on solving the three following priority tasks for L&H Re:  

  • Addressing potential legacy issues on physical and digital records 

  • Implement future Records Management TOM design for L&H Re, aligned to the future Group Records Management TOM 

  • Actively participate and represent L&H Re in the Group Records Management Enhancement Program 

 You will report to the Senior Project Manager.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements: 

  • Prior experience or exposure to Records Management or experience working in insurance or reinsurance on the L&H side.

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex issues, engage constructively, and develop pragmatic solutions within defined governance frameworks 

  • Strong capability to translate business requirements into high-level process improvements or system/tool change requests 

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different stakeholder groups 

  • Proven experience working across regions, divisions, and functions to develop accepted and sustainable solutions 

 

These are additional nice to haves: 

  • Experience in project management methodologies and tools 

  • Background in compliance, information governance, or data management 

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to records retention 

 

 

The estimated base salary range for this position is $128,000 to $192,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation. 

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office at least three days per week.  This role is not eligible for visa support/relocation assistance.
