Underwriting Solution Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Underwriting Design Consultant to join our team. This client-facing role involves creating and refining automated underwriting processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall performance. The objectives of this role extend to use cases beyond the world of traditional automated decisioning and expands into the realm of all underwriting innovations involving third party data.
Key Responsibilities
- Working directly with clients to become familiar with carrier underwriting philosophies and bring them to life in automation and other tools
- Design and implement innovative solutions to streamline underwriting workflows by way of requirements gathering and specification documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in underwriting.
- Effectively and confidently lead group discussions with a balanced level of persuasion and open-mindedness that promotes adoption of the most ideal path forward

Qualifications
- Proven experience interacting with automated life insurance underwriting and digital health data
- Solid understanding of the application/policy life cycle
- The ability to effectively articulate the role of data in automation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Proficiency in process mapping and documentation tools.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards.
- College degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- General understanding of the project life cycle
- Demonstrated success with thought leadership with regards to internal and external stakeholders

Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week. This role is not eligible for either relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.
For Armonk, NY, the estimated base salary range for this position is $90,000 to $156,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
